A new survey by Myriad Genetics finds just over half of women know what dense breast tissue is and only a third know that it may increase their risk of breast cancer. Having a personalized assessment that includes information about risk factors such as dense breasts, family history and genetics empowers women to take charge of their breast health and take preventive action with their health care providers.
